Great Video of the Olean Area Irish Dancers

Here is a video from St. Patrick's Day.  Hannah is in the green dress!  This dance is Miss Brown's Fancy.  Pause the music player before you watch.

Will Spring Ever Come?

Image
Well, after receiving 6 new inches of snow yesterday, I am starting to wonder if spring will ever come to Western New York.  The snow reminded me, however, that I haven't shared any ski pictures this year.  We had another fabulous ski season.  Hannah learned to snowboard which was slow going at first, but quickly improved. I am still in awe that I am able to ski again, just one of the many blessings God has bestowed upon me! Hannah and I practiced our lizard annihilation skills (remember, our girls' group is called the Lizard Annihilators) He was a BIG one, but I think with our combined strength we took him down! What an amazing winter! I hope you are remembering to count your blessings each and every day!

Hello!

Thank you to those of you who have been patient with my cat post, I am not sure why the pictures were only working on some computers. Just a quick update.  We are heading into Irish Dance hell week.  Hell for me, great fun for Hannah.  The girls will be dancing up a storm this week getting everyone in the St. Patrick's Day Spirit.  Hopefully I will have some pictures to share. I am still fighting a cough.  Dr. Pilewski put me on a new antibiotic and I submitted a sputum sample yesterday, so hopefully by early next week we will know if there are any additional infections. God bless you all!  Nancy

The Retreat was a Success!

Well, today I am asking myself if putting my health in jeopardy in order to have the girls' retreat was worth it.  Though I am feeling really lousy this week, I can say it was all worth it!  The girls had a great time and the Spirit was definitely present and working!  We will continue to meet regularly and I can't wait to see what God will choose to do with this amazing group of girls!  Thank you for your prayers, you helped to make it happen! Check out some of the fun we had! This scrapbook created with Smilebox

The War Wages On!

I didn't want any of you to think I had succumbed to the flu.  I continue to fight and see small improvements every day.  Unfortunately, Hannah came down with it on Sunday, so I am trying to care for sick me and sick Hannah.  To top it off, Scott is away on business, so I don't even have his healthy helping hands, ugh! I need some special prayers this week.  Several months ago, God placed a calling into my heart, a brand new ministry.  He asked me to start a group for Middle School girls to help them grow in their faith lives.  This has weighed heavy on my heart, especially since Hannah's Irish Dance interferes with our ability to have contact with our church community. After much prayer and research, I started the ball rolling four weeks ago and began planning a Pure Freedom Retreat for a group of 10 girls here at my house for, guess when?... Yes, this weekend!  Thankfully I have an awesome co-leader who has picked up the physical prep for me this...

Not a cold, the FLU!

So, that head cold took a major turn for the worse Thursday night and a nasal swab yesterday came back positive for influenza.  I am a MESS!  I slept for 36 hours straight. This is the worst illness I have had since my transplant, so please, say a lot of prayers for me, I really need them right now! God bless you all!  Nancy
