Home Tomorrow

Well, it does sound like I will be released tomorrow. We will travel home, but may need to come back next week. I will be listed for transplant on Monday and will be assigned a position on the list. According to Dr. Pilewski, I may be at the top of the list and, if not, would most likely only have one person ahead of me, so transplant could be very soon. If I am at the top, Mom and I will get everything organized at home, then move back to Pittsburgh, probably by next weekend.

Continue those wonderful prayers! As terrified as I am of the upcoming surgery, I so look forward to taking a great big breath with my new lungs.

I do have a special prayer request. As I look forward to a possible second chance at life, a wonderful and generous person is facing death, most likely with no knowledge of how little time he or she has left. Please join me in saying special prayers for this person, the one who will bring me new life, and for his or her family who will be faced with the difficult challenge of letting go of their loved one.

Thank you all so much! All my love! Nancy

Hi Nancy!
I m so glad that you are well enough to be discharged for a short time. My thoughts and prayers continue daily for you and all of those that will take part on this next journey of your life. You will do great--you have such an amazing spirit and positive attitude which will help you get through the transplant. Wish I could be there with you but please know that I am there in spirit. You do have an uphill battle ahead, but one that you will climb with faith, hope and your strong will to succeed in everything that you do. I love you!

All my best,

Debbie

Nancy- I am glad to hear that you are doing better and that you will be able to come home for a short time. If it is possible, I'd love to get together for a brief visit before you have to go back to Pittsburgh. Davin and I are saying our prayers for you- and of course for the family of the person who will bring you new life. You are the only person I know who would request such a prayer be said. God love ya!!! I hope to see you soon.
Hugs!

Nancy, Having this blog is such a thoughtful thing to do for the people who know and love you! Thanks for keeping us posted! Prayers are going out on your behalf. Your name is being mentioned to God - I'm sure many many times - asking for God's merciful intervention in your life. And yes, thanks for reminding us to pray for the one who will be meeting his/her Maker in the near future. With love, Pat Gerig.
