Meet the Teacher

I am so happy to be able to let you know that I was able to attend Meet the Teacher night at Hannah's school yesterday. Though it took A LOT out of me, it was so worth it! Hannah's new teacher, Mrs. Bowser, seems wonderful. It was obvious she is excited about teaching and makes it fun for the students.



We got to see Hannah's locker (4th Graders get their own locker!), her desk, some of the projects she has already completed, like her dream home (boy, I would love to see the price tag to build that creation!), and the brand new playground that we have been hearing tons about.


It was also wonderful to see so many familiar and smiling faces from the Portville Community. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to see me and that really made my night! We are so blessed to have a terrific school and community.

I am so glad that you were able to make it out to meet Hannah's teacher and see her classroom. I know it took its toll on you, but I hope you know that it meant the world to Hannah! You can see how proud she is that you are there in all the pictures! She is just beaming with pride and excitement. I hope you are able to recover and get some good rest. It is such a good feeling to know that you are part of such a GREAT community. The small part that I got to experience last October left me feeling so good inside knowing that people truly care for you and your family. Have a great weekend and get some rest. That is so awesome. I'm so glad that you made it. I can't believe they have lockers. Alex would love that! They don't even get lockers here at the Jr. High??? It seems to me, although I'm so far away, that you live in a beautiful place with wonderful people surrounding you. I am so happy for you! A strong community is so important.

Wonderful Nancy! I'm so glad you are feeling better, and you were able to go meet the teacher. That is great! Hannah looks quite mature with that locker, WOW! Hope the weekend is a good one! keep rested and enjoy that beautiful family!

WOW!!!! How awesome is this? Isnt it amazing how quickly they advance into the next steps. Lockers and new playgrounds will quickly be placed with boyfriends and girlfriends, cars and other fun stuff. GREAT PICS! And I am sooooo glad that you got to go! I know you were looking so forward to it!

Please Help!

Hello Friends!  As most of you know, I have felt called to assist Christian artist Jason Dunn.  Jason made such a huge impact on my Hannah through his music and positive outlook at a time when she was emotionally and spiritually lost.  God used Jason to answer a very special prayer I had sent to him regarding Hannah. In the time since Jason and I started working together, a lot has happened.  We founded a charity for children and young adults with diabetes called the Jason Dunn Diabetes Foundation ( www.jasondunnfoundation.com ); we put together an 8 state tour to support this foundation; and now, we have launched a campaign through a website called Faith Launcher ( www.faithlauncher.com ) to help pay off the debt from Jason's new album, Abandon Progress, but also, hopefully, to raise money for our foundation. Pain is under control

I was very concerned last night when the pain returned with a vengeance, I almost had to return to the ER, but I was able to talk to my brother-in-law and he suggested I take a second pain pill and that made the difference. I have made sure to be on top of the pain and not let it get so bad again. Hannah stayed home again today, but I am hoping that she will be able to return to school tomorrow. This is a nasty bug! I couldn't let Scott have all of the St. Patty's day fun. What do you think, do curls suite me? Love to you all! Nancy
