Hello my friends!

Wow, I am speechless by the outpouring of love and friendship you have shown me and my family. Thank you for welcoming my father's posts. Though I do not have the concentration, nor visual ability to type long, I did want to at least say hi.

This has been quite an experience so far and I know I have a long road yet to travel, but I have been greatly blessed in these last few days with my ability to improve daily. I am in GREAT hands and am being well taken care of. Hopefully, once all 6 of my chest tubes have been removed this terrible pain will subside, but the medications finally have it at least manageable.

Scott arrived this afternoon, so I am feeling better seeing him and letting him see my improvement. Please know we will continue to keep you posted with significant events, but no news is GOOD news, so don't worry too much.

I love you all and have experienced a most amazing Christmas miracle. God bless my donor and her family for giving me this second chance at life. I will treasure her lungs and keep her alive with many new memories! Nancy

So nice to see you posting again Nancy! Though, of course, I have thoroughly enjoyed your dad's postings. He has done a wonderful job with keeping us updated and his descriptions of what's going on makes me feel like I'm right there with you! You and Scott look absolutely great :-) So glad to see your beautiful smiles!

Soooooooooooooo great to see your smiling face in the picture and to hear from you! Please take all the time you need to rest and heal! You're dad is being a great "guest blogger" for you! Although, it is SO WONDERFUL to have a post from YOU, TOO and to hear that you are improving each day. Wonderful news! Keep up the good work - I'm sure it feels like WORK but you're moving right along! So glad Scott is back - I can't imagine the difference he is seeing from when he left over the weekend! AMAZNG!

YEAH! I just got shivers reading your post! It was so good to hear from you and see you with Scott! How wonderful! You are looking awesome and I know you take each day one at a time. Climb that tall mountain carefully. Keep smiling and know that my Christmas has been made with you getting new lungs. Nancy- I have been following you every step of the way. God bless you and your family and the donor. Our wish is for you to be home for Christmas but if not, it will be worth the wait. Keep in mind you are on my mind all the time and in my prayers. Love ya.

Hello Friends!  As most of you know, I have felt called to assist Christian artist Jason Dunn.  Jason made such a huge impact on my Hannah through his music and positive outlook at a time when she was emotionally and spiritually lost.  God used Jason to answer a very special prayer I had sent to him regarding Hannah. Pain is under control

I was very concerned last night when the pain returned with a vengeance, I almost had to return to the ER, but I was able to talk to my brother-in-law and he suggested I take a second pain pill and that made the difference. I have made sure to be on top of the pain and not let it get so bad again. Hannah stayed home again today, but I am hoping that she will be able to return to school tomorrow. This is a nasty bug! I couldn't let Scott have all of the St. Patty's day fun. What do you think, do curls suite me? Love to you all! Nancy
