I have to confess, one of the hardest parts of all that I have been through has been knowing my little girl was struggling. She never vocalized this and probably didn't even realize it, but before I left in December, she had become a different child. She was very clingy, weepy, dependant, on edge, and was experiencing fear and stomach aches at bedtime. How do you assure a child that everything will be okay when you don't know if that is the case? This past weekend my prayers were answered when I saw my little girl. She was happy, self-confident, fearless, and did not shed one tear until it was time to leave. The weight of the world has come off all of our shoulders, but I noticed it most in Hannah. A child her age shouldn't have to go through so much pain, stress, and suffering, but I am so thankful that the time has come when we can get back to our life, one full of health, happiness, and family activity.
