I can't tell you how touched I am by all of the support I have received since my last post. Though your loving messages caused many a tear, it was because I know how loved I am and I am so grateful to have so many angels out there rooting for me. I do need you all right now, almost more than ever. I know you will continue to pray and I so appreciate that!

Just thinking of you today and wishing you a wonderful day. I too wish that I could be closer to you to help. I would love to come and spend the day with you and just be there when you needed it. This is a long journey, still with bumps int he road, but you will make it past them. You always do! You always have focused on others and now it is your time to focus on you. You can do it and we are all here for you!

You've been through more than any of us. Give yourself a break. This is transition, and I think you are incredibly brave and inspirational. Remember, if you can make it through this, you can make it through anything. And one of these days your fearlessness will re-appear. It just takes time.

You are an amazing woman, don't forget where you have been as it will predict where you will go! The strength and love you find with family and friends will help climb those mountains. We grew up in the mountains you know how jagged and tough they can be. Just keep an open mind and you will get there. You can always call if you need anything. God bless and I love you!

THE SURGERY IS COMPLETE!!!

The surgeon just came to let us know that the surgery went well and that Nancy did well.  They should be bringing her to post op and we may be able to see her in about an hour!!  What can I say, we are all in awe of the talent and skill of these remarkable surgeons and the life giving technology that exists today!  I'll post again after we have had an opportunity to see her.  She's on the other side of the mountain now and though there will be some peaks and valleys ahead over the next few days, she has the will and the spiritual strength to finish the journey and I know all of your love and support will make a huge difference in how quickly she recovers.  I'm sooo relieved and gratified just knowing the surgery is over! All 6 tubes have been removed!

I am so thrilled to report that the surgeons removed my last set of tubes a few minutes ago. I am cautiously hopeful this will mean some pain relief. It feels nice not to be hooked up by my chest anymore. I had another rough night, but hopefully tonight will be better. I have already gone for 3 walks today and it gets easier with each step I take. I am very tired, so need to take a nap, but wanted to share this recent wonderful development! Love to you all! Nancy
