Cammi is moving out of ICU!!!

I just wanted to share the wonderful news that Cammi will be moving out of ICU and onto the main transplant floor as soon as a bed becomes available. Her diaghram test has been moved to tomorrow, so keep those prayers flowing.

Yeah for Cammi!

We continue to pray for her and her health! We know that moving out of ICU is a big step! We hope she continues to get better and stronger each and every day! I know with God at her side and all of these prayers coming her way, she will continue to make strides! Go get em' Cammi! Thanks for the update Nancy!

THE SURGERY IS COMPLETE!!!

The surgeon just came to let us know that the surgery went well and that Nancy did well.  They should be bringing her to post op and we may be able to see her in about an hour!!  What can I say, we are all in awe of the talent and skill of these remarkable surgeons and the life giving technology that exists today!  I'll post again after we have had an opportunity to see her.  She's on the other side of the mountain now and though there will be some peaks and valleys ahead over the next few days, she has the will and the spiritual strength to finish the journey and I know all of your love and support will make a huge difference in how quickly she recovers.  I'm sooo relieved and gratified just knowing the surgery is over! All 6 tubes have been removed!

I am so thrilled to report that the surgeons removed my last set of tubes a few minutes ago. I am cautiously hopeful this will mean some pain relief. It feels nice not to be hooked up by my chest anymore. I had another rough night, but hopefully tonight will be better. I have already gone for 3 walks today and it gets easier with each step I take. I am very tired, so need to take a nap, but wanted to share this recent wonderful development! Love to you all! Nancy
