And the Weekend Ends...

Hello dear friends,

I want you all to know that I had a wonderful weekend! Being with Scott and Hannah and being able to keep up with them was better than words can express. The joy and thankfulness I feel for my new lungs is immeasurable!

However, today I hurt inside. It is amazing how emotional pain can be worse than physical pain. Seeing them drive away this morning tore me up. I know we are counting down the weeks until I am able to go home, but it will be three weeks until I see them again and today that just seems unbearable.

So, today I will have my sad day, but tomorrow I will wake up with a fresh start and a fresh attitude and I will move on.

My love to you all! Nancy

Nancy,

I am sure your weekend was the best you have had in a very long time. You just got a "taste" of what is to come when you get home with them forever! The emotional pain must be hard, but keep your eyes and heart on the goal ahead, and you will be home before you know it!

I can't tell you how many times I have pulled up your blog to just look at the pictures again of you Scott, and Hannah. They are just priceless!

Keep strong, and keep fighting and working toward your goal. These new lungs of yours are going to give you so many wonderful opportunities!

I wish your heart happiness and warmth! Have your mom give you a hug from me! I love you so much! Just try to remember all the good times that have yet to happen, but WILL!!

Love you,

Debbie

Oh Nancy,

I am so absolutely happy for you that you are able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life with your family. Those little moments become our most cherished memories and I am so glad you have the opportunity to make many, many more wonderful memories with them. What a wonderful weekend.
It is so great to see pictures of you all around town, enjoying every minute.

Seeing them leave must be so terribly difficult. I will pray for the time to pass quickly, and I wish their visit could have been longer!

I love you tons and I'm sending you a big hug!

Lots of love,
Amy
